Use of LoreKeep

What LoreKeep is for

These are the current boundaries of the product.

LoreKeep is a personal tracking and organization product for libraries, entries, notes, links, progress, and related reading workflows.
LoreKeep Quick Save is designed to help users save metadata from supported pages into their own LoreKeep libraries and continue where they left off.
LoreKeep is not presented as a service for copying, republishing, or distributing full copyrighted works.

User responsibility

What users are responsible for

These are the current boundaries of the product.

Users are responsible for the content they manually submit, paste, upload, or store in LoreKeep.
Users must not use LoreKeep to violate copyright, terms of service, privacy rights, or other applicable laws.
If a user chooses to store content they do not have rights to use, that responsibility remains with the user.

Extension boundaries

How the extension should be used

These are the current boundaries of the product.

The extension is intended to work on the page the user is actively viewing and to support user-triggered save or update actions.
LoreKeep does not promise support for every website, and support for any site may change over time.
Cover capture and screenshot-based cover recovery are intended only to help users save their own library metadata and should not be used to copy, republish, or distribute third-party content.
Users must not use the extension to bypass paywalls, access controls, or technical restrictions they are not authorized to bypass.

Support and reports

How support channels should be used

These are the current boundaries of the product.

The private support form is intended for account help, bug reports, extension problems, and other issues that should not be posted publicly.
The public feedback board is intended for non-sensitive product feedback, feature requests, and public discussion.
Users should not submit secrets, passwords, payment details, private keys, or sensitive third-party personal data through support, feedback, or screenshots.

Beta status

Service status and no-guarantee terms

LoreKeep is still evolving, and the terms should be honest about that.

LoreKeep is provided on an evolving basis and may change, improve, break, or be removed over time.
Beta features may be incomplete, unstable, or temporarily unavailable.
The public browser extension may be unavailable, under review, or distributed through limited beta channels before full store release.
LoreKeep does not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent uptime, or compatibility with every browser, website, or workflow.

Enforcement

What LoreKeep can do when the service is abused

These protections exist so the product can survive normal abuse and legal risk.

LoreKeep may suspend features, remove content, restrict access, or close accounts when needed to address abuse, security issues, legal risk, or clear misuse of the service.
LoreKeep may investigate behavior that appears to threaten the product, other users, or third-party rights.
LoreKeep may preserve logs or operational records when reasonably necessary for security, compliance, or dispute handling.

Ownership

Who owns what

These terms do not transfer third-party rights to LoreKeep or to users.

LoreKeep owns its own software, branding, product text, and service design, except where third-party materials are used lawfully.
Users retain responsibility for the content they submit and do not gain rights to third-party works simply because those works appear on a supported site or are referenced in LoreKeep.
Uploading, linking, or capturing a cover image or screenshot for personal library organization does not give LoreKeep or the user ownership of the underlying third-party work.

At a glance

Scope of these terms

These terms apply to the LoreKeep web app, browser extension, and related service surfaces.

LoreKeep is a personal productivity and organization tool, not a service for copying or redistributing full works.
Users stay responsible for what they submit to their own libraries and for how they use supported-site metadata.
Continued use after material updates means you accept the revised terms.

Agreement

Acceptance of terms

By using LoreKeep or its browser extension, you agree to use the service lawfully and within the limits described here.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the product or extension.

LoreKeep may update these terms as the product changes, especially when product capabilities, risk boundaries, or legal obligations shift.
