LoreKeep Extension 2.0.1 Beta Release Notes
Summary
This beta patch improves anime page detection, save/update behavior, and extension store packaging for Chrome and Firefox.
Changes
  • Fixed anime progress updates so saving episode 1 can move existing planned entries to watching when progress is detected.
  • Improved duplicate handling so existing library entries update progress instead of showing full create-only fields.
  • Added compact page support status in the popup to show whether the current tab uses a site adapter, generic detection, or unsupported mode.
  • Split site-specific anime detectors into separate adapter modules so future site support can grow without crowding the main detector.
  • Improved AniNeko detection for anime detail and episode pages, including cleaner descriptions and episode metadata.
  • Improved Animepahe adapter detection for title, total episodes, source URL, cover, description, and genres.
  • Improved generic anime detection for ReAnime-style detail/watch pages, including summary and episode metadata.
  • Fixed floating save button behavior so chapter/episode updates can work from the page after the extension initializes detection.

LoreKeep Extension 2.0.2 Beta Release Notes
Summary
This beta patch improves account session handling for users who use LoreKeep in both the web app and browser extension.
Changes
  • Updated account sessions so one user can stay signed in on up to three devices, with the web app and extension sharing the same browser device slot while the extension uses its own stored session token.
  • Added account settings controls for reviewing signed-in device slots and signing out other devices, including extension sessions tied to those device slots.
  • Fixed extension sign-in so a successful popup login explicitly writes the same browser's web session cookie while extension logout still avoids clearing the web session.
  • Fixed web sign-in detection in the extension so normal popup requests prefer the current browser's LoreKeep web session before falling back to an extension-specific token.
  • Fixed floating button detection and saving so reading pages authenticate through the current web session, re-check on tab navigation, and find saved entries across eligible libraries instead of depending on the popup-selected library.
  • Updated the floating button ready state to show the matched LoreKeep entry and library, then save using that same cross-library match.
  • Stopped background reinjection from re-running content helper scripts in tabs where the LoreKeep content script is already alive, preventing duplicate identifier console errors.
  • Fixed floating saves to update the exact matched LoreKeep entry instead of creating or updating chapter-only duplicate entries when an existing series entry is already found.
  • Made the floating save path update-only: if no concrete existing entry id is matched, the floating button will not create a new entry.
  • Added server-side protection so older floating-save payloads with chapter-only titles are forced into update-only behavior instead of creating duplicate entries.
  • Moved floating saves and progress-warning retries to a dedicated update-only API route so they no longer use the quick-create endpoint.
  • Added screen JSON-LD detection for movie and series pages, including nested review metadata such as 8Filmai movie pages, so they target Movies & Series libraries with title, description, poster, and source URL.
  • Improved screen JSON-LD detection to prefer fuller visible movie descriptions when site schema metadata is truncated.
  • Added Lithuanian Aprašymas heading support so movie pages can capture the full visible description instead of truncated schema text.
  • Trimmed movie description capture so gallery images and rating metadata are not saved into the description field.
  • Fixed floating chapter saves after opening the popup by keeping fresh high-confidence chapter detection and allowing matched existing entries before showing the uncertain-detection popup warning.
  • Added a Cinevito screen adapter for movie and series modal pages so the extension reads the opened title panel instead of generic page metadata.
  • Added an M4uHD movie adapter so movie pages save the clean title, full plot, poster, and genres instead of SEO fallback text.

LoreKeep Extension 2.0.3 Beta Release Notes
Summary
This beta patch makes manga detection and progress updates safer by preventing unrelated titles from being treated as the same saved entry.
Changes
  • Fixed generic manga detection when a reader page exposes only a site name such as MANHUAUS.COM, deriving the series title from the manga URL instead of saving the site brand as the entry title.
  • Improved chapter-page title cleanup so noisy SEO titles such as Chapter 170 - Title - Site do not become new LoreKeep entry names.
  • Restored automatic saved-entry and library detection when reader metadata appends SEO text such as Manhwa Online, so ToonGod pages update the existing entry without manual library selection.
  • Fixed duplicate-awareness handling so a unique validated existing match can update the exact entry instead of creating a duplicate in another library.
  • Prevented conflicting or ambiguous lookup candidates from being selected automatically.
  • Added local popup title validation so an outdated backend result cannot bind an unrelated entry id or display it as an automatic saved-title match.
  • Required source-link matches to agree with the detected title when title identity is available, preventing stale or previously overwritten source URLs from connecting unrelated works.
  • Added server-side protection that rejects an explicit entry id when the saved entry title conflicts with the incoming detected series.
  • Tightened shared-word title matching so franchise phrases such as Mount Hua Sect are not enough to merge distinct manga with different meaningful qualifiers.
  • Changed floating save visibility so the page button appears only when exactly one eligible, title-compatible saved entry exists.
  • Added a safe per-library verification fallback when the all-library lookup misses that entry, restoring the floating button while still requiring one unique title-compatible result.
  • Changed floating save submission to repeat the same unique title-compatible match check before sending an update.
  • Removed preferred-library ranking from floating saves so a remembered library cannot make an unrelated lookup result win.
  • Added unified library title search in the extension popup. Visible entries filter immediately while a debounced, authenticated server search checks the signed-in user's entire selected library.
  • Added Load more pagination for normal library browsing and search results, removing the previous 40-entry cutoff. Availability is calculated from the authorized library's exact matching-entry count.
  • Prevented cached library responses and stale search requests from replacing newer results. When the matching LoreKeep web endpoint is not deployed yet, the popup now reports that requirement instead of incorrectly saying there are no more entries.
  • Kept server search and pagination restricted to libraries where the signed-in user is a member with ENTRY_READ permission.

LoreKeep Extension 2.1.0 Beta Release Notes
Summary
This beta feature update expands library browsing and separate-entry workflows while improving page detection, media classification, progress handling, and duplicate safety.
Changes:
  • Separate-entry saves now use the public catalog as the moderation checkpoint: matching catalog titles enter a private content-editor review queue, while duplicate rows inside a user's own library do not create review spam by themselves.
  • Fixed same-title separate entries so they enter review when catalog sharing is enabled, and routed on-page separate-entry decisions through the creation endpoint instead of the progress-update endpoint.
  • Manual entries in mixed Movies & Series libraries now preserve an explicit Movie or Series type, and older entries with season or episode evidence are recovered into Catalog Review without bypassing the user's catalog-sharing setting.
  • Successful separate-entry saves now confirm that catalog-safe metadata was submitted for editor review.
  • Progress warnings now reconnect the current content-script bundle to already-open tabs after an extension reload before falling back to the inline popup warning.
  • Fixed stale or ambiguous saved-entry selections so Quick Save asks which exact duplicate to update instead of reporting a false session error.
  • User-edited Quick Save titles are now preserved during saved-entry matching and pre-save revalidation instead of being replaced by the detected title.
  • Fixed duplicate content-script injection after extension reloads or page navigation, which could produce repeated Identifier has already been declared errors.
  • Separate-entry saves now fail safely if an older LoreKeep web build tries to process them as updates; the existing entry remains unchanged and no misleading downgrade popup is opened.
  • Simplified the opened-library search placeholder from Search this whole library... to Search.
  • Added status filtering to the extension library browser. Each library uses its own configured statuses, so manga and novel libraries can filter Reading/Planned/Completed entries while anime and screen libraries use their Watching-specific choices.
  • Added a default library status preference in extension settings. “Reading / Watching” adapts to each library's configured vocabulary, and unsupported choices safely fall back to All.
  • Quick Save now marks actively Reading or Watching entries as Completed when the current chapter or episode reaches the entered total, restores the active status if that total is later increased, and preserves deliberate manual statuses such as Paused, Dropped, Planned, or Completed.
  • Status filters search the whole library, work together with title search and pagination, and remain available for unlocked standard-encrypted libraries.
  • Polished the library-browser and settings status selectors so their text, spacing, and dropdown arrows remain centered and unclipped in the narrow popup.
  • Fixed Royal Road fiction pages so the extension captures the actual story synopsis instead of Royal Road's generic site description.
  • Fixed Royal Road chapter pages so they derive the parent fiction title and URL instead of treating a chapter title as a new entry.
  • Added regression coverage for Royal Road fiction descriptions, parent-fiction URLs, and saved-entry matching from chapter pages.
  • Fixed generic manga and comic pages using /series/ URLs being misclassified as Movies & Series.
  • Changed screen detection to require explicit Movie, TVSeries, TVSeason, TVEpisode, or VideoObject structured data instead of relying on ambiguous URL words.
  • Added media-classification evidence from page keywords, Open Graph type, and JSON-LD types, including ComicSeries handling.
  • Kept bare series neutral so manga, comics, novels, and other serialized media are not treated as video without supporting evidence.
  • Added QiManga and GenzToons regression fixtures plus an explicit TVSeries control fixture.
  • Fixed generic expandable descriptions split across multiple paragraphs so the complete synopsis is preserved instead of only the longest paragraph.
  • Added support for synopsis controls labeled See more and regression coverage for truncated metadata with a complete visible description.
  • Fixed generic genre extraction so recommendation cards and global sidebar genre lists are not assigned to the opened title when a title-specific content block is available.
  • Added conservative mature-content detection from explicit page ratings such as 18+, R18, Adults only, TV-MA, or NC-17, allowing those entries to be tagged Adult for catalog filtering without guessing from synopsis text.
  • Preserved exact Movie or Series classification through Quick Save instead of deriving it from a mixed library name.
  • Fixed TVSeries, TVSeason, and TVEpisode pages being saved as movies inside combined Movies & Series libraries.
  • Kept western animated series classified as Series; animation alone no longer implies Anime.
  • Added explicit Movie/Series classification for Cinevito and reliable M4UHD metadata, with structured-data fallback support on generic pages.
  • Added regression fixtures for live-action series, western animated series, and movies.
  • Added a Create separate choice when a matching title is already saved, allowing users to track seasons or editions independently without overwriting the existing entry.
  • Changed duplicate cards to target the exact saved entry, so users can reliably choose which similarly named season or edition to update.
  • Added the same Create separate entry option to progress-downgrade warnings while keeping ordinary duplicate protection enabled by default.

LoreKeep Extension 2.1.2 Beta Release Notes
Summary
This patch improves Quick Save library selection, saved-entry recognition, durable cover capture, progress feedback, and extension settings after the 2.1.0 release.
Changes:
  • Fixed per-media Quick Save preferences so automatic existing-title matches no longer replace the library the user explicitly selected.
  • Fixed Manga libraries whose descriptions use the general word "series" being misclassified as Movies/Series and excluded from Manga recommendations.
  • Quick Save now treats a compatible library marked as favorite in the LoreKeep web app as the primary default, ahead of stale extension preferences and recent-library recommendations.
  • Moved explicit choices to clean preference keys so incorrect defaults stored by older builds do not continue forcing the wrong library after upgrading.
  • Existing-title matching can still route the current title to its saved entry, but that temporary match no longer changes the default for the next page.
  • Fixed saved-entry recognition when stored and detected titles differ only by a leading English article, including The Primal Hunter versus Primal Hunter.
  • Fixed saved-entry lookup across equivalent www and non-www source URLs, restoring automatic routing, the match panel, and the update action.
  • Fixed manual target-library saves so choosing another compatible library creates the separate entry there instead of being redirected back to the library containing an existing match.
  • Fixed progress updates silently reverting a manually selected status (for example, Paused) to Reading during the final saved-entry match refresh.
  • Added consistent progress-aware status transitions: unchanged saved progress preserves Planned or Paused, advancing progress resumes Reading or Watching, reaching the known maximum marks the entry Completed, and increasing that maximum reopens a completed entry. Explicit status choices remain untouched until progress is edited again.
  • Create new entry now respects the currently selected library, and matching normalization never removes leading words such as The from the title being saved.
  • Fixed blocked or hotlink-protected cover URLs leaving new entries without a cover: Quick Save now falls back to a cropped capture of the cover already visible on the source page while preserving the full detected title.
  • Fixed MangaBat metadata extraction so Quick Save uses the title's real synopsis and title-specific genres instead of MangaBat promotional text, SEO keywords, or sidebar genres.
  • Fixed ArenaScan chapters so they reuse the saved manga identity and report the correct chapter instead of treating the number as part of a new title.
  • Added dedicated Comix detection so title pages use the real synopsis, title-specific genres, cover, and latest chapter instead of comments or site-wide SEO keywords.
  • Added an optional saved-progress indicator for the floating Quick Save button. It shows whether the current chapter or episode is saved, already read, or ready to advance, and can be disabled independently in extension settings.
  • Settings now opens as a dedicated popup view from the gear icon, keeping Quick Save and Libraries focused. Controls are grouped by page detection, floating controls, library behavior, and extension access, and dependent options are clearly disabled when unavailable.
