Some library entries can lose their cover when the original image host removes a file, changes its URL, or goes offline. Previously, repairing those entries meant finding and adding the same cover again—even when LoreKeep’s catalog already had a working version.
Library entries can now recover covers from the LoreKeep catalog.
How it works
  • Entries without a cover now show a Find cover option.
  • The same option appears when both the stored cover and its fallback fail to load.
  • You can also select Find cover in catalog from an entry’s actions when replacing an existing cover.
  • LoreKeep searches for catalog titles that match the entry.
  • Matches are ranked using the title, linked catalog identity, and the library’s media type.
  • Up to three likely covers are shown for you to review.
  • Select Use cover to apply the one you want.
Only the cover is changed. Your title, progress, status, description, notes, source links, and other library fields remain untouched.
When possible, LoreKeep reuses the catalog’s managed cover instead of requiring another upload. This reduces repeated work and avoids storing unnecessary copies of the same image.
Matches are never applied automatically, so similarly named titles cannot silently replace your cover. If no catalog match is available, you can still add a cover URL manually through Edit entry.
Cover recovery is currently available for normal writable libraries. It remains disabled for zero-knowledge libraries because their entry information is intentionally unavailable to the server.
This is the first version of catalog-assisted recovery. Future improvements may include repairing several missing covers at once and expanding title and alias matching.
